Hey Mom and everyone,
Yes we had transfers this week. My new compaion is Sister Sorensen. She is from Cache Valley, Utah, by Logan and she awesome. I love her so much!! She is so sweet and excited to work. I loved Sister Leiss and it was hard to see her go, but she had been here so long and the area needed someone new. Sister Sorensen and I took about a full day to get used to each other but now it is smooth sailing! Its so much fun. She has been out two transfers longer than me so its fun working with someone closer to me mission age wise. We have a lot of finding to do, but we are excited. We are going into new parts of the area that I haven't been to, and we are working hard.
Monday- we were suppose to go to an FHE with Noelia, but she had to cancel. So we went and said goodbye to the family since the assistants dropped some dodge that she would be leaving.
Tuesday- First, we ran into President and he told Sister Leiss that she was whitewash training. so that got her excited! We went all over our area saying goodbye to people, and then we helped with trunking night. It was fun! The assistants forgot to let us know that we were having some sisters stay with us that night, and we only had half a roll of TP so they had to make it up to us by giving us 2 rolls haha. But I got to meet Sister Silsby and if i get to serve with her ever I will be so happy. We got along well :)
Wednesday- we went to the church at 8:50 and helped with transfers. It was pouring when the new missionaries showed up, but it went well. The coach with my new comp, Sister Sorensen, was late so I was comps with a few people throughout the day. It was mainly with Sister Rasmussen and President, but when they were busy Elder Higham, the previous AP, hung out with me haha. There were so many other missionaries around, no need to worry. I got so many compliments that day from the missionaries I have served around. Sister Melville told me that I had lost weight, I was happy. Elder Harris, also a previous Ap, and Elder Higham both commented on my growth as a missionary since I came out 12 weeks ago. That made me feel good :) But then Sister Sorensen showed up and it was fun.
Thursday- It felt like the longest day ever. but we taught Noelia and she finally prayed for the first time from the heart and she felt something. We still have a long way to go to get her into the font, but she will get there.
Friday- it also felt long, but we got weekly planning done that day.
Saturday- we went finding and then we went to Sue and then to Jose. She said that she feels so much better now that she isn't smoking! So we are excited!! Then we went to Bishop's and had a nice long chat with him about the ward and let him get to know Sister Sorensen.
Sunday- we had church and then we had dinner at the Robertsons. I don't have any pictures since they sent the one I have hahaha, But they are so much fun, We love going there for dinner, and their food is so good!! She is an amazing cook :) Then we visited George and Audrey, and then we went to the Owen's. Their daughter was excommunicated so we are trying to pick back up working with her. Their other daughter is dating a non member and Brother Owen really wanted us to stop by while he was there. When we tried, they didn't answer their phone or door, so we left, but after George and Audrey he called us back. We saw Vanessa (the excommunicated one) as she was on her way out. Sophie's boyfriend was already gone, but we set up dinner for Wednesday to meet with Vanessa and then had a good chat with Bro and Sis Owen. And at that point we were good to go home and finish studies and have dinner. It was a great day.
Today- we are going shopping. Sister Sorensen and I are working to eat well and so we are going to buy a lot of veggies haha Mom you would be so proud. We are going to take it easy the rest of the day. I've been sick with a cold ever since Tuesday and I sound like a man. Sister Sorensen is starting to cough, too, so that's no good, but we haven't stayed in at all so I'm proud of myself :)
This week has been good. I really love being on a mission. I have to get my new boots re-soled, but that's what happens when you walk everywhere haha. Its not too expensive, only £15.
But I love you all!!
