We had a cool miracle on Sunday. The mission is focusing on church attendance a lot. We have a new key indicator "less actives who attend sacrament meeting" and between less actives and investigators we had no one planned to come even though we tried hard. Saturday night without telling each other Sister Jian and I both prayed and asked for someone to come to church (We have also been working on our faith). On Sunday a less active family came to church and brought a non member friend that they had referred to us awhile ago. Some things had happened and we lost contact with them. But, they have their whole heart into coming back and helping their friend come into the gospel. We had 4 LA's and 2 investigators. We were so thankful!! We have two dinner appointments with them and their non member friend will be there for us to share the gospel with. It's been really cool. I really have felt such a connection with this family ever since I met them. I'm grateful that prayers can be answered.
I got to help put on a wedding for a less active member in our ward. I decorated the arch around the cake. For what I was given last second I was pretty impressed with how it turned out. Also, I put together the cheese and biscuit platters.... I loved them. My creativity was on high and I was so happy. I had an outlet for it all!! The relief society president, Sue Wales, was really happy. Thankfully, it was just a small wedding, but it was still stressful. It's nice to know I can help out in this ward and that maybe I've made a difference.
Also, on Thursday, we got to help a family paint their living room and I got to cut in. It reminded me of being home. Dad, let me tell you, I haven't lost my touch! Brother Keir made a comment here and there that my husband is going to feel emasculated by how much I can do haha. It was a fun day. And a fun week. We have found some cool new people. I'm interested to see how this week goes.
I'm really grateful for my family and how close we are. I have seen and heard about other families and it really makes me appreciate what I have :) So, remember, you guys are great!!
Love you all!!
