This week has been cool!!
Monday- honestly we overdid it and the rest of the week I was pooped because of it. But, I still had energy, so I am improving a lot!!! Health-wise, I am not getting fevers as much, still here and there. My energy is doing better
Tuesday- we went to have a lesson with Tim. He was the only one home, so we rescheduled for that afternoon and got a member to come with us. It was really cool. He had read everything we asked him to and had even done some research into our church and said he really wants to know what is true. So that was cool. I had thought he was just letting us in out of curiosity but it turns out he has real intent. So cool!!!
Wednesday- we had zone meeting. It was about setting goals as a zone and stake for the year. Our goal is to get 2 baptisms a month per district and, so far, our companionship can contribute to that with the people we are working with. We also talked about the Holy ghost and the mission culture and how we set it - how we can change it based on our actions and attitude. We also set a goal for what our mission culture will become. I was picked on a lot and specifically. The zone leaders picked on me to do a role play. They planned on asking me but told me on the spot to get the most natural reaction possible. Advice - if you do not want to be picked on all the time, do not become friends with both zone leaders! They will always ask you for help. Also, if your district leader is giving a lot of training, he will also ask you to do a lot, too. Elder Nogueroles said he saw me telling Sister Banchini the answers, so they called on me even more than normal. But, back to the role play. It was role playing the end of my mission and my conversation with my stake president and, in particular, when he will ask me to take off my name tag. I almost burst into tears. I really have come to love the mission and am not ready for it to end, no matter the health problems I have or the things that change or anything. I love the work I do and I am never happier than when I am out sharing the gospel.
Thursday- We were challenged by Elder Shaw and Elder Nogueroles to commit Judy to be baptized on a date. We had the whole zone pray for us and it worked! Miracles are possible!!!! We also had her come with us to a dinner appointment and then to the scripture study class we started and it was a good day.
Friday- we went out to Gainsborough to teach a member referral and it was so cool. This lady, Mo, is such a special daughter of God and is so prepared for the gospel. She has had a tough life and it will be so cool to see her make these changes.
Saturday- we had lesson after lesson and it was going well.
Sunday we had a less active and an investigator come with us to church and as we got off the bus a member, who was on the bus, introduced us to a friend of his who was also on the bus. We got another referral!
This morning I got the chance to study the Holy Ghost. After studying Alma 11, I am so grateful for the chance we have to have this bit of heaven in our daily lives. One purpose of the Holy Ghost is to sanctify us and prepare us for standing in God's presence and, really, what an amazing gift that is! I just feel so bad for those that will not have the chance to get this gift because of their own choices. Then they will really feel inadequate as they stand in front of this loving and perfect person who just asked us to be obedient. I know the plan of salvation is real and is our way back. I am so grateful for the gospel and the chance I have to share it will everyone!!
