This week has been crazy.
Monday-We went by Prem to see why he didn't come to church - an emergency came up. He says that he will come, but he didn't show up this week either.
Tuesday- We helped out at MLC (Mission Leadership Conference). It was crazy. All the elders were super hyper. We think it had something to do with transfers coming up, but it was a blast. Nothing went right with the food while we were preparing it, but some how it all worked out in the end haha. We had a lesson with Jake where we let him teach us the plan of salvation and he did really good. We went over it with him in the end and he really wants us to teach it to Aaron soon.
Wednesday- We passed clean checks!! haha We might win, is what they said haha. We went by Jose and another less active. It went pretty good. It wasn't the best for finding new people, but we are working to keep the ones we have.
Thursday- We had zone meeting and that was good. We went to Castle Vale and got a return appointment with a potential that we found at the beginning of the transfer :) We then went to dinner with Terry to a really nice pub. I got the roast lamb dinner and it was so good!!
Friday- We helped Jake start his family history. I was able to show him our 6 generation fan chart and he really wants to get there. We also helped out at the New Trainers meeting, and then did weekly planning. That always takes forever since we have to come up with lessons and not just teach the ones from Preach My Gospel haha.
Saturday- We did some finding and then had lunch at the Fishers and then we went to Jose's and planed our lesson for Sunday. The weather was gorgeous!! It couldn't be better!
Sunday- We had dinner at the Mace's. They are fun, like grandparents. Sister Sorensen and I had an unexpected companionship inventory. We haven't been communicating as well as we should and I couldn't let it sit there any longer. We are in a much better place now and are excited for this next transfer.
Elder Lu, one of the assistants, got after me for taking pictures, saying "Sister MacKay, why are you taking pictures? It's not like you are leaving." He was serious, so it looks like I will stay one more transfer. Next transfer I am bound to leave - there is no doubt about that.
Here is a picture of Bishop's wife, and two daughters, Molly and Rosie. They are fun!
Love ya!
