I'm having a hard time remembering all that happened since I forgot my planner at bishop's house last night..... Never do that, Craig and all over missionaries out there. It's a weird feeling. But it was a fun week. Got two new investigators, Becky and Anthony, and they are committed to baptism and so prepared. So excited to keep working with them.
Monday, we had a blast with the elders in our district at the cathedral. Elders will be elders :)
Tuesday- it was a very sunny, we had a chapel tour with Billi. That went well. We had a lesson with Slaw. He was found as we did service at a members house, so it's going well with him. We helped Hannah with her institute lesson/mission prep to escape the heat. It was dangerously hot (for England) this week. Then had dinner at the Maughans, too. It was a fun day.
Wednesday- it was cloudy, hot, humid.. I wanted to kill myself. We did as much indoors as we could. Either Tuesday or Wednesday I got the letter with the pictures. I loved it!! Also on Monday I got a card from Aunt Lori. Thanks!! It really made me feel loved. Oh, but we had dinner at the Brazilians and oh, my goodness, that was amazing. We had farofa de banana and some other yummy stuff. Josh and Spencer should know what that is. I'll attach the picture of my plate. I was stuffed after that. Heaven will be Brazilian food haha. At least this week it was :)
Thursday- we had district meeting and it was fun. Got a call from our former investigator. She had some questions but wasn't interested in getting baptised. We found out Friday night that she is crazy, Andy told us stories about her and how she latches on to males, it's funny because she gets a bit annoyed when we run into her in town.
Friday- (Ashley's birthday) we got up early and caught the train into Wales. Got to see my best friend, Elder Hatch. I got to sit by him and catch up. We have decided to create a bucket list of fun things to do together when he gets home!! He also says that I can't get married until he is home from his mission and until he can approve the guy and the dress haha! It was a great day. I felt good. Got my package on my birthday. Mom, I got the necklace and thank you - that was perfect! Oh, and Rachel - the hot Cheetos were perfect!! I have such a hard time not eating them all at once. I'm learning self control. I still have 1/3 of the bag left. Craig, thanks for the Popcorn Girl. I ate some yesterday while I crushed Sister Melville at Phase 10, haha. Oh, we got to watch "Meet the Mormons" and it was so good!!
Saturday we did service with Sue Holford. It's amazing what you can do with some ground and a bit of knowledge. We have some yummy potatoes and onions and beans and garlic to use now, picked fresh off her allotment. Then we had a lesson with Andy. A member came with us and by the end, we wanted to strangle her...... If you ever go teaching with the missionaries please don't speak more than the missionaries, especially when someone is having a problem with something. We got to go to TGI Fridays for dinner - wore my American flag headband. It was a blast. We love Gary and Sue. Also got to see a seagull eating a dead rat... Yum!! Haha!
Fasted yesterday to forgive and forget and on Thursday had a great study on forgiveness. I just love this gospel. All things are possible. And forgiveness really is there to set us free, I got the
chance to feel a bit of that is morning. It's amazing!
Love you all. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. It's was a great day. The new mission president is so cool and we are excited to work with him! Transfers are on Wednesday!! Excited for everything!
