With it being transfers not too much work got done since Tuesday we needed to quickly say goodbye to all the members before Sister Jian left on Wednesday. Rachael Maughan came with us to an appointment that flogged, and then drove us around as we said bye... But no one was home so oh well. But they took us out to lunch at the Carvery. It was a blast. I love their family.
Wednesday I got a Sister from the Cheltenham ward to come work with me here in Gloucester for a few hours until our new companions showed up. It was fun!! Sister Francis (from Tanzania, East Africa) came and she got settled. Then we went out and I got on my bike. She said, "Sister, I have never biked before." Oh.... So I tried to teach her how, but wasn't sure how. So I texted the elders to see if either of them knew how to teach someone to ride a bicycle. They had, so we have been having bike lessons everyday. She has improved a lot!!
We had district meeting this week. It was fun. But I think my favourite part of Thursday was calling Jake, the recent convert in Wylde green. It was so much fun calling and chatting and seeing how he was doing!! He said my accent has changed. Not a lot but enough to be able to tell. So at Christmas you will have to let me know!
We did some whiteboard finding this week. The weather was beautiful. A bit chilly at times but warm enough to wear short sleeves and no tights. We found a few people and one was named Andrew, I still have the talent of finding all the Andrews in Gloucester haha. But he is lost. He even said he was lost and wants to know the truth. We already have two appointments set up with him and he came to conference yesterday for both (both for us is Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning) but he liked it. There weren't too many people there so it wasn't too overwhelming. He is planning on coming to church from now on.
We have lost contact with some investigators so we are working to get that back up. They are just busy. So we are trying to be patient, but the work is great and life is awesome.
This past week on Thursday I felt like there was something in my eye. I tried to get it out with no success. Friday I went without makeup to see if that would help and Saturday it was still bugging me so I went with out make up again. Thursday night I had a dream that threw me emotionally and with that, and getting a bit of a cold and my eye, I wanted a blessing. I haven't had one in forever, it feels like. The zone leaders were so willing, it was sweet. And it just added to my testimony that blessings really do come from Heavenly Father. It was perfect and it said I would be healed as I talked with Sister Leppard about my eye. And after two days of doing what she said it looks healed... No make up just in case haha (She had conjunctivitis).
Life is good. It was fun to see the smiles on people's faces when they saw I was still here in Gloucester. I feel so loved!!
Thanks for all your prayers!! Love you!!
