So we had transfers this week!! I have a new companion, Sister Jian, she is from Taiwan and is so cute. We are already really good friends. Gary made the comment Saturday that I had a permanent smile on my face, I didn't realize it but, yeah, I'm really happy :) It has been an awesome week.
Tuesday - We went and visited a few members before Sister Melville packed and it was a blast. We visited Sister Craven (she is from Utah) and I always learn something new when we talk with her. I just love her. Mom and Dad, I really hope you come and pick me up from my mission so you can meet a bunch of these people!! Sister Melville and I had a great last day together.
Wednesday - We got a text from a few elders asking us to come to the train station earlier than we were planning to come hang out with them. We pulled Sister Melville's stuff down the street. Oh, my goodness. Sisters collect things and have a lot of stuff! And, man, is it heavy. Had to man up and carry all her stuff up some stairs. My arms were way tired at that point, but we got to hang out with Elder Hatch!! He is the best! I got to go Wylde Green. It was a blast. To see all the office people and to see all the missionaries that I served around. When I got off the bus I just ran to Sister Sorensen, and Sister Burt. It was so much fun to see the Paige's, to catch up. Have I told you how when you serve in Wylde Green a lot of people remember you and then they like to chat.... My head was spinning so I hung out with Elder Hatch and Elder Clarke. They are the best!! A new sister came into the mission from Elder Clarke's ward back in New Zealand and when she got her mission call she found my blog and just loved it. It was kinda crazy to hear from a random person that they already know you but that's the fun of a mission and blogs.
Thursday - We had district meeting... It's always awkward at the beginning. We stopped by Billi and introduced her to Sister Jian and that went really well. We invited her to church and she didn't say no!! Had a dinner appointment at the Hathaways and it was really fun!! Having a new companion that has a positive view on everything has really helped with working with the members. We have seen miracles.
Friday - We did some service and had a dinner appointment that night with the Wales and the Holmes. It was fun.
Saturday - We had a stake hog roast there were two full pigs that were roasted and, man, were they good. Dad, you would have loved it!! We got to know many members and it's been so good for the member relationship!! Dad, that article you sent is just amazing! It's been a big help. We have a service opportunity a day and we got another referral from Sister Beasor yesterday at church. BILLI CAME TO CHURCH!!! It was so awesome! Do you remember me saying that she already looks like a member? No one knew she was an investigator. One member we had asked to say hello to her came up and asked if Billi was here and was pleasantly surprised when we pointed at Billi. They clicked right away and after church that member came up to us and said we could teach Billi in their home!! Miracles can happen!
Sorry this is way long. I love the mission - all the things you can learn in such a short amount of time. Last transfer I had the opportunity to start working on humility and it looks like it will continue, but that's okay. It gives me a chance to practice what I've learned. I hope you all have a great week!! Oh, if you get a chance, read "Approaching the Throne of God with Confidence," even if you have read it before. I can promise that you will get something new out of it. Life changes and you can learn so much by rereading a good talk. :)
Love you all!!
