This week has been fun
Monday- we started exchanges after p-day ended. I was with Sister Mulhman again. She is going home on Wednesday. I was in Nottingham for almost all of Tuesday.
Tuesday- I loved it. I was able to do some real finding and I felt like a real missionary haha. There are some moments when you are reminded what you are doing is missionary work and that was one of them. Oh, but while I was away, Sister Leiss had a lesson with Jake and he realized that he needs to put more effort in and we have seen a big difference ever since!! Jose had a cigarette that night too, and felt so bad and is now really committed to quitting!! We have been able to see the change in their eyes and you can see that repentance/change is a real thing. It had definitely strengthened my testimony in the atonement!! I love it!
Wednesday- We had to stop by someone in Curdworth (look it up, it is one of the oldest villages in England and it is so cute!). We took a bus for 20 minutes and then had to walk for 30 minutes to get there and then to the lady's house. You can say we got our exercise in for the day. Sadly I forgot my camera at home or you would have gotten pictures. So sorry, but the Fells live in Curdworth, too, so we stopped by to see them. They are always helping in the office. They made us stay for a bit and we had eggs on toast. I will have to make it for you when I get back. It was delicious! and I have never seen it made like that before, so be excited haha. Then we had a lesson with Noelia and it went alright. We were able to understand what is going on in her mind so that we can teach the lessons according to her needs. Then we went to the Sharps for dinner and Sister Sharp is so much fun. We love eating there!!
Thursday- We had interviews- It was fun. I love president. We get to see more of him than other missionaries and so I loved it. Then we had some lessons. But we were at home having dinner and we got a call from Elder Lu, one of the Assistants. Just some background on him - he diets, so he just eats a bunch of healthy stuff because he loves to eat. He is funny. I'll tell you more next time I can talk to you, emails don't give it justice haha. They called and said that someone left a wrapped present on their desk for us, the Wylde Green sisters, and other missionaries had made us brownies to say thanks for always helping. They had Sister Rasmussen pass them on to us. So, in our minds, it seemed like everyone was working on gratitude and saying how much they appreciated us and our help haha. We were wrong! The APs decided to clean their flat from chocolate and dropped it all off at our door. It was kinda funny, but we have been trying to not eat so many sweets, too - so yeah.
But Friday- We had to help with the Training meeting since transfers are coming up on Wednesday. So before we helped, we had to get back at the APs. So knowing they would give us back any chocolate we gave them, and knowing they go through so many eggs a week, we decided to get them eggs and take one out and put a chocolate egg in its place. This chocolate egg is special, though. It has a surprise toy on the inside. So they actually ate the chocolate and then they both texted us saying how much they love us and appreciate us haha. So it was fun!! Then we did our weekly planning and then traveled to our DA with the Fishers. While we were at the Fishers, the assistants texted us and let us know that they want us both to stay for next transfer. It was sweet of them since we have become such great friends this transfer :)
Saturday- We went tracting and we saw miracles, for our area. We got two potentials!!! Before that, we only had 4 for the entire transfer. Finding is hard is our area, but we are working hard to change that :) Jose fed us and she is fattening us up, so I really have to watch what I eat now haha.
Oh, and then Sunday- We went to church and Jake came and Noelia surprised us with a text saying she was coming, but would be late!! We had two investigators at church!! We were so happy! Jake really is making progress!! Oh, but sacrament is last in this ward and in an announcement at the beginning from bishop, he said that we would end the meeting after the sacrament. There was something wrong with the electrical and they needed to turn it all of as soon as they could. So that was fun. Never thought we would need a back up plan for church haha. But it was good.
Today- we get to have district P-day. We are excited. We love our district! Then we get to have an FHE with Noelia and the Pughs (an awesome family). Then we have to clean - we have clean checks tomorrow morning. You could say we aren't the happiest with this elderly couple who scheduled the clean checks on the last day of the transfer, in the area that has the most to do with transfers (besides the APs). Oh well, I can tell you we probably won't win haha.
Well, I love this church, and the people. Hope you all have a good week!!
