We have been biking this week. It's been fun. I'm cooking homemade hamburgers for Gary and Sue on Thursday. I'm going to make some homemade guacamole to put on them.
Um...so this last week.
Tuesday we had interviews with President... Love the guy! Love Sister Leppard even more! She could tell I needed to talk and we talked about not getting down on ourselves because we expect perfection. It doesn't come that way. We also talked about doing things one step at a time. I love her so much! I was sick this week, feeling really tired, and I got a blessing from President that said I'd be made whole and, compared to my previous colds, this has been nothing. We only took one hour out of the work to sleep and that helped. Also, without saying anything to President, he blessed me that I would find my purpose very soon. So that brought a lot of peace and comfort.
Also, we taught Billi the Word of Wisdom. She was hesitant to live it but the Spirit gave me an inspired question. Now she has committed to live it by giving up one thing a week, so, hopefully in 3 weeks, she will be fully living it. I thought it was a great lesson - we got Billi to commit to do something!
Wednesday - We did some service on the allotment with the elders and had fun!
Thursday we did more service with the elders, ate lunch provided by a member at the cathedral and did some finding. We were on our bikes the whole day and I forgot my key on the ground so the elders had to go grab it and help us out.
Friday we helped out at a funeral with the elders. The Spirit was so strong there. It was cool! Sister Jian cooked curry for Gary and Sue and the elders and it was a great night.
Saturday we had a ward garden party and district meeting. It was a packed week!
This area isn't doing so well, but we are doing all we can. We are working to be as obedient as possible, continuously trying to be better missionaries, even though it's so hard to be prepared emotionally, mentally and physically.
Sunday was a little tough as we found out the zone leaders and the other elders are both teaching people in our area that will be baptized into our ward. They are teaching in our area, yet we can't find anyone to teach! It's frustrating, but we will work through it.
We learned a lot about having the Spirit with us as a former elder from a few years ago (who knows Elder Peek) showed up on Saturday. He is apostate. He was excommunicated for doing anti-Mormon things and the Spirit was not around him whatsoever. It made us feel so sick. It feels like a driving force, making me want to be better.
Love you all
