Sounds like a busy week!! That is crazy that everyone is coming home from their missions all at the same time haha. I remember when Tanner went out. Addie and I were babysitting at Amber's and the creepy neighbor called the police because he didn't see either Addie or I on the couch. So yeah that was a good memory. haha This week has been great!
Monday- we went tracting after pday and were let in and had a lesson. We are going to try back tonight to see if we can have another lesson with them!!
Tuesday- we helped with Mission Leadership Council (MLC) and had some very delicious food. Have I told you how much I love serving right next to the mission home?? I am so spoiled haha. Then we visited Jose and then we had dinner and then had coordination, which was good. Then we had an awesome lesson with Jake. And he is starting to look like a member haha. We are so happy with the progress he has made!!
Wednesday- we went to costco with Sister Rasmussen. We printed pictures off and walked around the store, tried samples and tested all the couches haha. It was like being home again :) we even ate lunch there!! We helped SisterRrasmussen with a few things in the office and while we were there the best thing happened!! That morning I was feeling a bit down wishing that I could get some post and that package that the Hodsons sent me finally made it!!! And guess what made it take so long.... It took a detour to Honduras. hahaha But the box looked a bit rough around the edges but everything was alright inside and there was even an apology note in spanish that Sister Page and I pieced together. But please tell the Hodsons and the youth thank you so much, it really made my day!!! But moral of the story - Heavenly Father knows what you need when you need it and I don't think it was an accident that the package went to Honduras before it came to me, just so one of my prayers could be answered :) (also I love getting post, so don't be afraid to send some :))
Thursday- we had zone meeting and it was good. I do like the training we get but those meetings always make the day feel like forever.. We then had a DA with the Hammonds. Sister Hammond is the RS pres and she lives with her in-laws, her father in-law is from Utah in a small town and went inactive 20 years ago and last Sunday he bore his testimony saying that he had been a lost sheep. Before when we have had dinner there it has only been young Sister Hammond and her two kids, but this time her in-laws joined us as well and it was good, He was so excited to talk to americans from the west haha. He even gave us twinkies to take with us haha. But his little grandson Miles is our best friend, and we know that we aren't supposed to give hugs, but what do you do when a little kids gives you a hug, it was so sweet. I miss little kids.
Friday- we taught Terry and it was great!! Then we did our weekly planning at night. It is so much better that way, so we can stay in while its dark haha.
Saturday- we went finding with the Assistants in Sutton and it was fun. We found 2 people, by ourselves (this area is really hard to find in, last transfer we only got 6 potentials the whole 6 weeks) and then later that night we went tracting and found 3 more. We were so excited!! we have been so blessed so far, and we reached and passed the standard of excellence (4). Its only my second time doing that in 3&1/2 months, and its the first time by ourselves as a companionship!!. So we have been so thankful in our prayers :)
Sunday- We were finally able to contact a referral that came before I was here and set up a solid appointment with her!! and we had a sweet chat with the sweetest old lady ever!! So it was a good Sabbath!!
I really do love the chance I have to serve! It is such a blessing!! The people I get to meet and serve, I love it! I do know the church is true and I know Heavenly Father knows what we need. Its our choice to find out what that is and whether to follow it or not. But I love you all, talk to you next week!!
