It sounds like it was a fun week.
So with Isla, the girl we invited to be baptized on the street, we got a lot of pressure from our leaders to get her to church. So, we tried and she at first responded, but didn't after a bit. Then when we went for the lesson she wasn't there. So I gained a testimony of knowing what is best for your own area. We probably pushed her a bit too much too early on and so it was a miss, but we will keep trying.
Monday we went to the Castle here in Lincoln where the Magna Carta was signed. We saw Judy that night. We ate dinner at a carvery and it was fun, but it didn't taste as good as usual. We told Judy about Sister Dignos trying to bike that morning. Something that should have taken only 15 minutes took 1 hour to get there. She hit parked cars, 2 old ladies, a lot of fences and a lot of bushes and one pole. She is just tired but not seriously hurt at all. We had Judy laughing like nobody's business.
Tuesday we went finding with the elders, aka we helped Elder Chugg gets some things done before he left the next morning. Then we exchanged with the sister training leaders. We had a few lessons - all flogged. I was feeling quite weak and Sister Banchini made sure I was eating. She bought me a foot long and forced me to eat it all. I felt like a chipmunk with all the food in my mouth and in my cheeks! Food just hasn't been tasting good to me but I really need it. That night we fixed food for us and the elders for the next day.
Wednesday.... we went finding and then headed out to Nottingham. We went to Dr Bobby's and had blood taken and got a prescription for more antibiotics for my chest infection. Then we had the world wide missionary broadcast and it was really good. It just helped put into words what I want for the people I work with. Back at zone meeting we talked about our zone vision and I suggested doing a zone fast, but Sister Leppard vetoed me fasting for a long time. I didn't get to fast and felt spiritually dull the next few days, but at least I wasn't going to pass out.
Thursday we went to the church to set up I-pads and do the I-pad training for all the greenies. Then we had a few lessons. We are teaching a Greek lady - so cool. I am going to see if she can teach me how to cook some food :). We also had a lesson with a part member family. It did not go to plan but we are going to keep trying.
Friday.. we went out to Gainsborough and a referral, that we stopped by last week, had called the day before and set up an appointment. We also set up an appointment with Brother Banks. He is so cool. I feel like part of the reason I am here is to help him before he passes away. His 14 year old son in Las Vegas wants to come to church now so I will get his information and either get it to missionaries or take missionaries myself when I get home. We had an awesome lesson and the Spirit prompted me with what to say and, without going into detail, it was perfect for him. We also had an awesome lesson with Michael. He found the website on his own and wants to change his life and live what we taught him. We also had a good lesson with Judy and she got a blessing. We are just trying to do the best we can to help her. We also had a great lesson with another new investigator. By the end of the week we had 7 new investigators - it was really cool!!
Saturday we did service for the Diamonds. Elder Nogueroles got sick and so we used our lunch hour to make him homemade soup and to put together a get well kit and I have to say it was so cute! Personalized and everything. And it helped him a lot! I was happy we could help him. He has done so much for me since I have been sick I was so happy I could give some back.
Sunday, it was ward conference and we had a Munch and Mingle after and it was fun. It was a good week. Something the stake president said really stuck out to me, but I am blanking on it. I wrote it down though. That is something I am learning to do now that my brain doesn't work. I just know that Heavenly Father puts people around to help when you need them most.
