Well I have a few minutes -yesterday we had a scare. Jose our less active almost dropped us. When we got the text I cried, I'll admit it. She is a convert of 17 years and was inactive for 2 years until earlier this year when Sister Leiss found her. None of her family are members, or even active members. She meets with us once a week and has a smoking problem that she is trying to get rid of. Her life hasn't been the easiest but she has the sweetest spirit ever! She was feeling like she didn't belong to the church since she couldnt quite understand everything people talk about at church or as she read the book of mormon. As she was telling us about it a tear rolled down her cheek and Jose doesn't cry.
We followed the spirit and told her everything that she needed to hear to comfort her. She is going to get a blessing tomorrow. But as we left we knew everything was going to be okay. We could tell that angels were with us on our way there and that they are with her now. She texted us after and said thank you so much!! And today she turned our appointment tomorrow into a dinner appointment, and she makes the best curry ever!! So we are excited that she shared with us her worry, and that we could help her. I really felt her pain as she was talking to us and I also felt Heavenly Father'[s love for her. We are on our way to preparing her for the temple and we know this was one of her bumps in the road along the way to getting there.
It was such a blessing to experience that. It made me love what I do out here so much!! I know Heavenly Father sends us out here to find the lost sheep for him when no one else would. I love this gospel and all the blessings it brings to us
Love you all,
Sister MacKay
