Wow! It's crazy to think that before this school year ends I'll be home!! Wow! That's crazy. It's fun to hear about everything that happens at home.
This week was good. Had a fun Monday. Went to the Carvers with the senior couple and the Stroud elders. That was yummy. Got some cute pictures. Met up with the elders in Gloucester and finished emailing. Had a bbq to go to at the Maughans. Sister Maughan is crazy and has a twin sister. They look the same! When they talked it sounded like she was having a conversation with herself. It made us laugh!! Got the call that we were both staying. We were happy.
Tuesday we had a few lessons. The Spirit told us that it was time to not teach Billi anymore. It was sad but we feel good about it. We had dinner with Gary and Sue and went to a restaurant called The Harvester. I got grilled thighs with mash and gravy with bbq sauce on the side. Man, did I feel like I was at home! Sister Leiss called to say goodbye. I'll miss her and am so excited to write her. She left me a present of marzipan at the office. She knows me too well!
Wednesday was transfers. They didn't really need us to babysit any sisters, but we took the elders to get lunch. I didn't eat half my food and gave it to one of the elders to eat. Funny how elders are happier when they are warm and full. I was happy I could share.
We went to a testimony meeting at Gadfield Elm. They lit a fire and we ate s'mores and hot chocolate. It was fun. Just what I needed. My favorite part was being able to sit there and feel the Spirit and know that I'm so happy where I am. Thinking about what I would say made me think how grateful I really am. It scares me that I only have 8 months left.
Friday we got to do service and make some planners for some elders. It was cool. Fun to be crafty. I'll try to send a picture of my planner for this transfer. We also got to play sports with some members and investigators. I looked amazing as we played volleyball. No one would go for my serve. It was funny. Made me excited for family get-togethers.
Saturday was our miracle day. I had a great study about faith - 1 Nephi 17, when he gives the pep talk to his brothers. It was really written for me and in less than an hour we had found 2 new investigators on our way to a baptism. We also found other really cool people throughout the day. So we are excited to see what we can do this week having experienced that.
President and Sister Leppard showed up to church on Sunday. I love them!! They called a member of our ward to be his counsellor, so we are excited. We also taught a Sunday School class of 12-13 year olds and most of them were girls and all want to serve a mission. It was the best lesson we have ever taught. The girls left with a smile and I totally forgot that I had brought treats. I didn't even need them. It was so cool!!
Tonight we are teaching the fhe lesson at the Maughans plus they are giving us dinner. I've gotten to the point where I'm used to not cooking anymore. I love this ward. I'd be okay if I stayed another transfer.
Oh, so we are going to Bisley in a week. Sue is going to take us. So we will see how that goes. Hopefully we will have pictures.
I'm doing all right. Enjoying the mission the best I can. (That's a lot!)
Love you all!!
