Wow, the time has flown. I can't believe it's already Monday. Transfers are this week and Wednesday I will go home in 12 weeks.... I can't believe where the time has gone. I find myself doing much different things than I did back in Gloucester and even more different than Wylde green me and at one point this week Sister Dignos saw my missionary portal profile picture, the one I sent in with my papers and man I am not that girl anymore. Not in size, style or attitude. I am still me but new and hopefully improved.
Time was so short this week The only time we had to find new people was on Tuesday when we set aside time to find as a district. Other than that we were always doing something and usually teaching. It was so much fun.
Wednesday we had the follow up trainers meeting at the mission office and okay here's the story....
We woke up 3:30 to leave by 4:30 to get to the train station in time for it to leave at 5:26. In order to catch our connecting train at 7:04. The driver was late, but we only left 1-2 mins behind schedule. We were relieved. But we were almost to Nottingham and one of the doors stops working. We let the other missionaries who we were meeting up with in Nottingham know to hold the next train. So we get to Nottingham and we have 2 minutes to get from one platform to the other and we are booking it. Running in heels and everything. I haven't run so fast for so long. I could feel my chest hurting but we really needed to catch the train. We get down the stairs and see the sisters step inside, I smile at the driver as I am running and go to press the button and the train starts moving. I was so devastated. We look and see two sisters and two elders wave with sad faces as the train pulls away. I wanted to cry.
We ended up getting there on time, so it was fine, but it was an interesting meeting where the Spirit talked a lot with me - told me a lot. A lot that I learned had to do with the meeting but also a lot did not. Some dealt with a friendship, some with my health and some with training. I came home and was pooped. I talked with Sister Leppard and it looks like a decent amount of my health problems come from stress. Stress about somethings on the mission and a lot about after the mission. Sister Leppard called to make sure I told you, Mom, about a lot of it being stress. I have had some extremely painful stomach aches this week I think due to stress. I have been working on deep breathing and I was told to find a mental place to go when I am stressed and I have been trying to find one, but nothing has come until you sent the pictures of the sunset. Oh I miss those Vegas skies. I use to sit out on the west side of the house when I was feeling overwhelmed or something and look at the skies and now I can do it again.
Thursday we left the flat at 9 and worked nonstop until 9 in the evening. It was so much fun. Friday we caught the train to Gainsborough and again such a packed day and got so much done. I loved it!!
But Saturday I smartly decided to rest for a bit in the morning and didn't realize how tired I was and how necessary rest was for me. Michael our referral came to church and on Friday we were able to put him on a date. The elders said their investigator Roy, an old man, asked if I would baptise him!! 3 people have asked for me to baptise them!! I feel so flattered haha! I got a blessing on Wednesday and it was exactly what I needed and then I got another yesterday because I had asked for one on Tuesday but it never worked for the elders or us until yesterday. I got told off - to not let my scripture study drop. So I can tell I need to work to improve it and have the Spirit better in my work. We have been so busy and I love it. But will everyone please stop telling me how short the time is! The blessing yesterday said it and then so did mom today and it's making me stressed. I already know and I can't do anything about it but work hard. But I love the gospel. It's what truly brings me peace through this all. Thanks for all your prayers. Got to go!
